And it's not limited to just toys, tech companies over exaggerate the specs of their products all the time, how can you justify that as 'oh well the prototype model always looks better!' ?
It all comes down to profit. If the companies really cared about their products they'd make sure they looked the same as what they're advertising. I don't care if that's 'naive' of me, I'm the one who hands over my hard earned cash for it in the end.
