>>6916693I'd sand the point of contact before painting, so there's enough clearance that the paint won't be scratched off by the inside of the lower arm.
Last I was in this scenario was for the gm sniper II. Just sanded back the sides of the joint itself, went through the whole painting process, put the thigh on and welded, and then masked off the joint and painted the thigh.
It worked but there's a very fine crack down the inside of a thigh, due to me not welding it with capillary action like I usually would.
