>>9161275The way I'd want to pastiche MotU would focus on setting up the Grayskull-Snake Mountain conflict with as many of the characters as possible. It'd have a Dungeons & Dragons type setup where just as "Skullmageddon" or whatever the Skeletor pastiche is called wants to break into Castle Grayskull, adventurers who don't serve him keep breaking into the vast dungeon he lives in (so vast he knows nothing of the Snake Men) trying to steal treasure.
Like in addition to Blade and Saurod being mercenaries anyone can hire, so would Ninjor, Blast Attak, etc. This is even how mini-comic Tri-Klops was introduced (sometimes a character's gimmick can be "found a cool magic item"). Also introduce Tuvar and Baddra as two such characters like 200X.
Likewise while the King is served by a tiger-riding scantily-clad Paladin, Black Mage, master of machines and Teela pastiche, many good guys would be introduced as adventurers, distinguished from other mercenaries only by their morals: Ram Man with his jump attacks, white Male Human Fighter, black Male Human Fighter, etc.
Then you'd have the secondary power centers like the Sea, Birdman mountains and Bee-ple mountains.
But of course you need the weird one-off guys like Trap Jaw, Snout Spout and Extendar. Showcasing a firefighter isn't the easiest fit here, but with advanced technology you could show characters losing body parts, getting healed and bouncing back better from their disabilities with cybernetics.
