-Lego has previously done Stranger Things sets, which is Netflix
-Lego just released Wednesday sets, also Netflix
-fans begging Lego for more "pirates" (they do not make the distinction between fantasy pirates and classic pirates)
-fans "begging" Lego to do "anime-something" for decades, and this is like a lower-risk version of that
-there are probably some metrics somewhere that specify One Piece sells merch, it's clearly obvious by the amount you see everywhere (just go to the mall, once, and notice the flood of OP merch)
-Netflix One Piece show was amazing. watch it, it's genuine good show
--good morals, positive upbeat messages
--adequate special effects
--good cast [diversity! but honestly "the good kind" which doesn't feel crammed-down-your-throat] (this might be the most important factor for Lego at this point?)
so overall it hits a lot of buttons that would indicate it's good to go
having said all of that, I'm not holding my breath, but I would be excited if it was a YES
