>>8735390Op here. Transformers are just as bad if not worse then bionicle. I primarily collect figuarts and mafex. I have every g2 set and most g1 sets. Teridax is staring at me right now on my shelf.
Bionicle was good for its time but its time has passed. There is no kid lego market except for licensed themes (which adults buy more of anyway,) a redo of g2 will just lead to failure. Everything about g2 was perfect for its time (app based content, not banking on old fans, etc.) and it still failed.
Bionicle is not a star wars, or a marvel, or a power rangers, where its stood the test of time. Honestly it'd be best if lego just sold bionicle to bandai or good smile to make 60$ collector figures. Bionicle doesn't work outside of a collectors market. Imagine what a 100$ makuta could look like.
