Got Hotshot in today, and you know what? I really like him. Not perfect, the leg kibble is a bit annoying (though not as much as I had thought) and there are some articulation hangups that annoy me (head should have been a balljoint and wrists would have been nice) but he's cool. He poses nicely and he updates just enough about the original to feel fresh without deviating too far from the source. I wish his expression was a little more, well, expressive; the headsculpt is actually really nice but I wish he had a smile rather than the blank "stoic" face. Seriously, what is it with Hasbro and refusing to give modern TFs any kind of actual expression? Not even asking for the old toy's demented JaAm loving happy face, as fun as that would have been.
Still. Good toy, I was very pleasantly surprised by him.
