>>10582988>A lot of current stuff just feels too tame and accurate for me, I miss that Universe style of weird redesigns, lots of "personality", unusual proportions and just plain weird decisionsSame, friend. I didn't appreciate this stuff back then nearly as much as I do now. Even if they don't have the best articulation or proportions, you can always tell there was an effort to give each toy its own unique appeal, and not just as a plastic effigy to a cartoon character.
>Nightstick feels just right in that department, tooYeah, I got that mold with Universe Artfire and it's great. Probably one of the best targetmaster molds I own, when it comes to balancing compromise between each mode. I would not mind having it in purple.
>seeing your photo reminds me that I really wanna get my hands on that Jetfire mold, too.A lot of people have complaints about it, but it is definitely a figure where the pros obliterate the cons. For me anyway. I love how the wings in robot mode made him look kind of like a butterfly. Like you said, there's always some detail about classics molds that make them interesting and memorable in their own right.
>>10583031>The SS version has a better bot mode but a really depressing truck, like... like it's really sad.Oh, I see. The alt mode is definitely one of the most appealing things about BayPrime, so I'll definitely take a look at the HFTD version if you recommend it.
