>>6850216>>6850226>>6850232Yeah you really should add some white whenever using black. Obviously how much depends on the paint brand and the like, but I'd never use black with less than say 10% white in it. Pic related used 30% white, I think I could have gone a bit darker.
Also, consider using a panel wash that is a bit brighter than the black itself to make detail stand out, I have used tamiya panel liner gray and it looked really odd so I made my own mix of gray/black/brown to try to imitate the dirt that can be seen on real life black vehicles like the blackbird.
