Okay, I just got my first Acid Rain products and had the chance to play around with them for a while and form some thoughts.
B2Five feels...well, fun, but it's SO incredibly reminiscent of Mega Bloks that I can't help but feel like I got a little ripped off. I know Beaver/Oritoy are much smaller companies and need to charge more, but damn. The figures feel almost exactly like Mega ones, just blown up to 1.2x the size, and that distinctive "marbled" Mega plastic is here too, presumably to mimic a weathered look. I like them okay, but I probably won't sink much more money into these.
The standard line ranks better in my book. I wasn't expecting such beefy ratchets on the knees, feels unnecessary at this scale and just makes posing tougher than it needs to be. Heads sort of feel like they're straight up made of rubber (ditto for B2Five here). They're...alright. Not as good as I was hoping, but not as bad as I'd feared either.
The vehicles are much more cool, I love my Laurel gang. I wish these things weren't so expensive, cause they pretty much make the entire line feel worthwhile to me and if I could army build them I would.
