>>10542742What's your point? Kaiyodo were inspired by McFarlane- so? Doesn't mean Kaiyodo didn't completely exceed him in every regard and revolutionize toys themselves with their use of modular universal joints throughout their figures.

Until the late 2000s, most articulated collector toys looked pretty janky, often with weird asymmetrical engineering, ugly cut joints and wastes of budget like articulated fingers. The Figma and Revoltech lines getting into an arms race proved it was possible to have good articulation without looking like crap.
Once again, pic related is very old now but still looks and poses great. Can't say the same for pre-Figma McFarlane or ToyBiz or whatever.
