USS Guam came in the mail today, still waiting on my Infini photo etch set for it. The kit itself is pretty nice even OOB though, it comes with 5 frets of photo etch, none of which I'll be using sadly.
Anyways look at the size of this thing compared to the Texas, it's almost Iowa-class in size, but less massive in displacement. In fact the Alaska-class displacement is very similar to the USS Texas as the Alaska didn't have all that much armor being a fast cruiser.
I'm not even going to get working on the Guam probably for another month, there's some other smaller projects I'm going to do in the meantime, first I'm going to finally finish a water base I started working on years ago for a 1/700 scale New-Orleans class USS Tuscaloosa, and then I'm going to work on a Dragon Z-26 that I have in my backlog, should be a pretty quick build for both of them since I'm not doing any aftermarket stuff with the Z-26, and the USS Tuscaloosa is already done and painted I just need to add it to a water base, paint and add waves and shit.
>>8399400That looks incredible, are you the same guy that built that sturmtiger kit? Building a diorama for this?
