You can display the robot or the alternate mode, but part of the reason most of my TF shit doesn't leave my desk is that they're fun to just fiddle and mess with. Even the third party stuff and things aimed at collectors are generally solid and sturdy enough to be constantly handled. On average they may not be a intricately painted, sculpted or articulate as something that's just meant to be a figure, but dems the breaks.
For the record I don't understand the stiff standing shelf-ter-fucks that plague the collecting scene either.
