>>10469919Thanks, anon, same to you.
I am spending another early morning before he gets up lurking on /toy/. Today we plan on taking my bicycle to the shop together and finally finishing up my new toy (though it is an R/C aircraft, which is a
>>>/diy/ topic).
I usually point to the balsa wood gliders as the start of my journey into this hobby, but another childhood memory I have was of an R/C aircraft my father bought when I was about 10 called the Hobbyzone Champ (picrel), slow, light as a leaf (1.3 oz with the battery installed), but fun in a good wholesome way (nothing that went 100 MPH or could hover on its propeller like a lot of guys want). We had moved then, so I was flying it from a baseball diamond a couple of blocks away from my house. I still pass the diamond almost daily on my bicycle and I am reminded of this.
He is up again, so time to spend some more quality time with him.
All the best.
