They all use generic templates meant to crank them out. They're just meant to get the figure to you safely, nothing more. They're not even particularly appealing on the shelf because they don't need to be; peopel who are buying them aren't going to be lured by the box, they already know they want the figure or they'll be convinced by the figure itself through reviews or pics.
I've honestly felt more guilt tossing out NECA and old 90s toy boxes like beast Wars than Japanese figures. Because those at least had original art made for them. I feel like that should be a rule of thumb; if there's no original art its not worth keeping. I'm no fan of NECA's Mego stuff but all those have wonderful original art that you probably can't get elsewhere as a print or anything. That makes the box a part of the experience, imo.
A lot of other Japanese toys do this of course, from cheapo Transformers to expensive mecha toys. Love this YAS piece for Sentinel's Giant Gorg releases that combine to form a full image.
