You will have that ugly chopped up knee pad section that will stand out in straight and probably bent position. If the joint is too embedded that will kill the rotations at the pegs that would've given that extra range of motion. These rotations are not on straight angle through the leg like a boots rotation on other figures. The pegs are on a slight angle so the rotation provides unique range of motion.
I'm gonna assume you hate figma and SAS as well since they are of same joint system. Even with most SHF this sculpt continuity is ruined with the joints standing out because it has that extra parts being double jointed. Simple, smooth surface hinge looks less hideous most of the time.
