That seems like neurodivergent thing to be honestYeah honestly I do suspect I'm a little on the spectrum to some degree and I get most people prioritize looks. But I feel like if there isn't enough people clamoring for good textures, companies will use inferior fabric because it's cheaper. I believe that for a plush to be of undeniable good quality, the texture has to at least be enjoyable.
Also your mentioning of plushies made of pleather reminded me of an absolutely cursed line of plushies. Basically, Disney did a collaboration with coach bags and made Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy plushies out of leather. And get this, each one cost about $600. Truly an abomination. They could have used that money to make the new princess plushies a decent size but noooo they had to shrink them down to 13.5 inches while producing these wretched things. They deserved to lose millions for this.
