The double elbows and universal wrists alone let him do far more stormtrooper-y stuff, like actually posing with his gun. The only areas where the black series has it beat are the knees and ankles in particular, which are very limited on the shf. That, combined with his tiny feet makes him a little frustrating to stand, honestly.
And yeah, the variants are basically the same mold with different accessories. I see the riot troopers and heavy gunners floating around mandarake for about 5-6k pretty frequently, if I didn't already have enough I'd bite on those in a minute.
