Various kickstarters have shown they like high quality figures.
The collector's market has actually grown a lot in the past couple of years, so much that collector companies like NECA are becoming mainstream.
Companies like DC Direct have expanded from just making articulated replicas to fully jointed figures while maintaining high quality.
It only shows there's a large base of collectors who are willing to put their money out, which is why third party stuff has become so popular.
So why isn't Hasbro trying to capture some of that market? They already produce high end sculpts and use mostly quality plastics... but i really don't know shit on this pertaining to TFs, because i really don't care about TFs beyond a few designs.
Still, i'd pay the ~$3 more to get better paint apps with better QC on their figures over the normal stuff. More joints would be another five bucks.
They really should make a Premium subline for all their stuff.
