Yeah, I'm a bigger fan of the older art styles from the manuals. There was a grittier feel to everything and a lot more teeth and claws. And all the kids looked like proper fucking asshole punks.

I feel the newer styles are a bit too generic. Everyone's a bit too skinny. For people who fight, no one looks like they can take a punch.

Pokémon characters are better suited to nendoroids than figmas, anyway. In the older Gens they were basically tiny bobble headed sprites that resembled nendos or squat little drawings of punk kids.

Whereas now they're happy-pretty-skinny-tall-people.
