>>7806629I think the ‘worst thing ever’ comes from the impression that the people who are fans of POPs love the dead-eyed generic human pops that look objectively bad and will have an entire wall filled with them. There’s good ones sure, but the majority of what people see is a character they love with the absolute soul sucked out of it and replaced with a couple of dot eyes and a removed mouth. Another thing is that since pops seem to cover every license out there, fans of smaller properties lament that their only option for merchandise is a shitty looking funko POP. The hate for these can be really overblown sometimes, I personally dislike the vast majority of pops, but I will always admit when I see one that I think looks pretty cool. I’ve had many “I hate pops BUT...” moments on this board
