Additionally, why the heck aren't combining alt. modes more of a common thing in Transformers? Like, it actually makes more sense than standard combiners, which just make a giant, retarded humanoid that is still only as durable as the bots that make it up. Combining alt. modes is actually a way to build a vehicle that can serve multiple purposes and allow for more utility than the individual modes have, like with BP, a jet, a tank and a jet-tank combine into a space-faring dreadnought, which is not only more useful/capable than the individual modes, but can also serve as transportation/firepower for smaller bots to take advantage of.
