Regarding the ship that doesn't belong - I feel that way too, but it's what I could do with those parts. I might pull it apart, I might not.
Unfortunate that you didn't win your auction, but there's always next time. I have the smaller robot on my list as well, once I get it the faction will be complete.

I get what you're saying with their possible evolution, I agree with that as well. I like the concept of them using robots/androids as well to supplement manpower.
It's always a good idea to get a few small sets, but be careful, one small purchase leads to another. I found this out the hard way when I first bought "Just two Blacktron sets and then I'll stop". That was 5 years ago.
