Anyway, he made a deal with Larami, which was later absorbed by Hasbro. In 2013, Lonnie sued Hasbro because they were underpaying royalties to him. He won the case and got paid $73mil in back royalties. I'm assuming that if Hasbro resumed paying the proper royalties they would still be able to use his patents, but there is no doubt that Super Soakers do suck now, so...hm.
