Just look at how much /toy/ bitches about Superman toys not having a smiling face, or why superhero movies in the 90s had to be so grim dark or embraced teh chintzy as fuck camp.
Fuck, the entire reason superheroes are seen as the entirety of comics is because of how shit was censored in the 50s and 60s.
Nothing is more damaging than the censorship from the 50s and 60s, and so many people here are so accepting of it that they'll fight tooth and nail for the normative of that censorship.
