Takara handled all the engineering even then but they worked off Hasbro drawings and plans for the US line(which they were free to use as they wanted).So stuff like Galavtron's Spark crystal, the Cyborg beasts, and the whole nature vs machine theme of BWII inspired TMIIs and Beast Machines. Then the third modes of the Transmetals inspired the third modes of the BW Neo cast. BW Neo might've helped inspire the beast theme of Beast Machines incorporating all sorts of unorthadox animals and blending the lines between Maximal and Predacon(as the BM line was initially meant to have heroicPredacons). And the TMIIs inspired Gigatron in Car robots,w ho had a bunch of , mostly Maximal, redecoes as his army.
