>>10103639 mentioned never use flat coat on clear parts, at worst use semi-gloss, though gloss is ideal. So long as the parts are free of oils and the topcoat is of a decent quality the kit shouldn't yellow.
>>10103554 was a freak accident in that my sanding job from the seam removal got a bunch of cutting oils from work under the topcoat, it was easily fixed, but yeah, make sure you wash your hands thoroughly with dawn or similar, especially if you are messing with white plastics.
