Also, you ever heard of outsourcing jobs to cheaper states? Call centers and even drive thru ordering happened in Idaho and Montana.
Like with most things, the area that all these successful companies start inhabiting, the more expensive it becomes to live there.
Obviously, not everyone wants to work in fly-over-land, even if its cheaper to live there and to hire the best of teh best, these companies move to the coast and other populace areas that have everything a person with great income wants.
