My Movie Monster Series Zilla is here! She (no, I'm still not buying the worm guy's whole 'it's pregnant and laid eggs, but it's totally a dude' excuse. I'm willing to believe the kid that was the main character for the following cartoon series was a dude, but the movie one that gave birth to him was most definitely female) only has 4POA, which I knew going in, but is easily the best looking sculpt I've seen in years for '98 Godzilla. She's got nice metallic blue paint on the tips of her back spikes (and a little across her chest), though it's more of a light wash), and some very detailed scalework (and I mean VERY detailed. The comments about her being 'anatomically accurate' were true - there was no avoiding seeing it, since she came packed on her back with her legs up over her head and that dinoclussy thrust right in plain view). She's small - only about 11 inches from snout to tail tip and standing only 5.5 inches - and relatively lightweight, being basically sofubi, so she doesn't take up a whole lot of space compared to, say, my S.H. MonsterArts Godzillas. I'm pretty happy with her overall, though I wish she'd been sculpted to stand in her more hunched-over pose she was seen in for the movie instead of being fully upright like a typical Godzilla.
