At first I just thought it was do to Emma not smiling very much in the film, but thinking back their Moana doll also didn't have a smile. The eerie part is that if you looked at the back of the swimming Hasbro Moana dolls box you'll see that the original prototype Moana is smiling, yet they removed the smile from the finished product. What gives? Is having a strong female character smiling viewed as sexist now?
