Once I figured out it was a Bachmann Diesel Express I bought one that was really close (power supply and gondola were the wrong colors) and not long after I found one in the correct colors.
So the "correct" one is standing by. Using the other set and power supply to run the house.
Tested all components from both sets and they all work like new. I guess that's one cool thing about these entry level sets is that they don't get used much.
