The people want out of the Union pronto. A few months ago, there was a referendum regarding whether the people agree with a proposal from Juncker (that had already been withdrawn at the time). The contents of the proposal weren't broadly published, especially in a manner that the peasantry would understand, but the media kept proclaiming that we should vote yes because a no would mean we'd get kicked out of Europe. "No" got a bit over 61%.
This is all real fucking depressing if you think about it.
