Do you guys have any opinions on the prototypes of the Toa Nuva?
>Tahu Nuva:
Basically the same exact design.
>Pohatu Nuva:
Bohrok-Shields as weapons/claws. I think this doesn't work as well as the claws he has in his final design.
>Kopaka Nuva:
They gave him two Mata duel-axel hole arms. It gives Kopaka Nuva symmetry, but at a cost of extra articulation. I like posing Kopaka Nuva with his ice blades touching the ground, which isn't possible with his proto-design.
>Onua Nuva:
Bohrok Shields, and a silver Onua-Claw. Overall, feels like a messier design. Not sure why they went with an asymmetrical design.
>Lewa Nuva:
Not quite sure what they were going for with that claw-hand, but I'm glad they went in a different direction in the final release. Something like this could have worked in a Hordika build instead.
>Gali Nuva:
I think it's interesting that they gave her Mata legs for her lower half, and Nuva legs for her arms. It seems they always wanted to do something different with her, in terms of body-type. It makes her look top-heavy, like she has swimmer shoulders. Makes sense, seeing as she still has her propeller hands in the prototype build.
I can't tell if the protodermic masks are placeholder, or if that was the original intention, but I wonder how people would feel about the Nuva and their usage of silver if they came packaged with silver Kanohi Nuva instead of their elemental colors.
