Most trolls that exist today stem from age old arguments, like NECA's Alien figure being much more detailed and faithful to the movies than the Revoltech.
Before Kaiyodo announced their Alien figure, NECA threads on /toy/ were very peaceful and had no real shitposting. By the time the Revoltech Alien figure was released, most shitposts and memes you see today made up about a quarter of the NECA threads.
So it kinda shows how insecure or dissastisfied these fanboys are about their own toys and hate the fact that people are enjoying other lines. It's like other opinions are hurtful and they lash out.
I mean, look at these past dozen or so posts, where people are trying to lie and pretend stuff like pic aren't nearly universally held in high regard and that 20 years ago, people didn't know any better.
