>>8228205It's an utter shambles. Mario's an iconic franchise with dozens of recognisable, simple shaped designs, and Lego is Lego - how on earth do you put the two together and get something this bad?
The sets look incredibly cheap, all flat panels and tiny accessories, if any. As a Lego set, they look zero fun for messing around with. And yet they're so expensive, and only one has Mario.
My guess is they'll limit production to create the illusion that it's an in demand toy, while sending dozens of sets to Nintendo-friendly youtubers to establish a brief but visible modding community of sorts.
They'll probably also throw them a few bucks to make meme fun of the new Game Gears. Then they'll quietly cancel the line, and a few of the folk who tried to tell senior management that it was all a terrible idea will get fired.
