The idea that you need lots of socialisation to live a fulfilling life has been thoroughly debunked over the last 50 years. Men especially, don't need 90% of what the world puts forward to them as a "necessity".
People who can set their own yardstick for success (however low) and find fulfillment in simple joys (however small), will still live more fulfilled lives than those who choose to live a lie.
