With the minisub deployed one can travel from stem to stern in this vessel, with any crew in the rear compartment isolated from the rest when it's stowed. Hadn't planned on the ship getting this big but the requirement for both space and sea travel necessitated an enlarged engineering section. All things considered this is about the minimum heh.
