I ended up making some modifications to it right after posting.
I changed the torso around a bit, including adding pieces to stabilize the jutting chest piece so it's not as comically far out.
I replaced the steel hand with one of those older hand connector pieces and added some fluff to make it look like a robotic gun-hand. It also helps keep the bayonet on the end of the gun in place better.
And I re-armored the legs and gave it different feet because I thought the wide feet pieces might have had an affect in making the legs shrimpy
