>>9979159It's easy to go "lol rock lords" too but the fact that He-Man had the Comet Warriors, there was literally a line called "Rocks, Bugs, and Things" that did the "two different modes" play pattern, and Transformers itself even workshopped the idea of transforming rocks/fossils showed there was a general feeling of "kids like collecting rocks" of the era (whether it was a holdover of literal out of touch boomers, who can say)
