Finished more or less the hull, I still need to do the front and back and some detailing and clean up stuff on the flat top.
The turret got some light streaking to break a bit those huge surfaces and will get some light dust and that's it. The hull gets more shit but these tanks are pretty high and the turret is easy to clean so that will do.
My idea, for the environmental weathering, is that this is just after a big match after rolling around in a rather intense and long match, it won't get as dirty as a tank in a real several days deployment but they get dirty pretty fast anyway.
>>6517366Bought it because it had a 20% discount so it was 63,20€, regular price is 79€ which is quite expensive for a book but this one is a big handy book. I think it worth the price if you're seriously planning a diorama(s) and want to have a solid base as it covers a ton of stuff and the explanations are great to follow. From there you can complement that with other resources and do great stuff without needing years of trial and error.
If you're just mildly interested in dioramas and feel that those 80€ would be spent better elsewhere I recommend the yt channel of ak that has some vids by the author of the book, they show how to use their products but isn’t that hard to extrapolate it to alternatives.
Now, I certainly wouldn't bought it for retail right now as it will be some months until I get stuff prepared for making dioramas, even if I value knowledge and reference stuff over kits I think that's too much money for something that will sit a lot of time on the shelf.
Put those 80€ in perspective, you can buy a nice kit and a few paints for that money that will keep you entertained for months or spend it going out one night, the book will last more than that for sure so in the end it’s up to you.
This was a rather long post for a response that could be done with 6 characters but I want anons to make informed decisions as far I can help it or at least to think about it a bit
