Apoxie's my first instinct, but my gut's telling me that I won't be able to sculpt a convincing knot at that scale and either way, sanding will be a bitch. My second is to melt a styrene rod and literally tie it like that, but I'm not sure if that'll even work. And the third option is to make a knot using some thick thread, but that'd be hard to recast.
If I tie a knot with, say, embroidery floss, and then spray a coat or two of topcoat on it, would that stiffen it up another to stand up to a mold?
