21st CEntury Toys was able to produce what they did thanks to WAlmart giving them full support. We got CHEAP, high quality toys because Walmart ordered enough units to drive prices waaay down.
The fact Hasbro is producing something smaller, with less detail and costs $300 is a sign of poor sales expectations
A company like Hasbro shouldn't get less support from a franchise like GI Joe than 21st Century Toys, but here we are in 2020, with GI Joe getting so little support it's online exclusive through Hasbro's own stores, because retailers can't make money off of GI Joe anymore.
