Out of all the Transmetals, Tarantulas is one of the ones who changed the least in terms of his core design and transformation. Also, I feel it's a bit unfair to complain about "kibble" on TM third modes, they were never meant to be full on vehicle modes, just like transport mode....Cheetor literally just has jets on his back, Megatron has roller blades, etc etc...they never were supposed to be actual vehicle modes, and the only one that comes close to that was Waspinator.
