The pretender shells look like a mishmash of different ideas and trends popular in the 80s and 90s, some of us (myself included) find the designs cool, while others like anon don't seem to want the concept back again in any form. "You didn't find an identical toy released in the same year as the pretenders, therefore they're not generic and anon is forced to like the pretenders"? He's still not going to like the shells or their designs, and that shouldn't stop you from enjoying them regardless.
