Still $0.50 is a little low, and could catch the eye of that jackass they have monitoring the self checkout section. I think the jackass also has a screen which lets them see the price of the item you're buying in real time. If a $70 doll suddenly dropped to $20 they wouldn't bat an eye unless they are very familiar with the specific doll your buying for some odd reason, but if you were to scan any doll, even a shitty playline Hasbro doll and it rang up for $0.50 that would catch any ones eye even if they knew nothing about dolls.
At Target they usually have some nosey, chatty lady that walks right up to looks in your cart at self check out, and talks to you about about your items, and she usually lingers around.
Some Walmarts are probably catching on to this because in some shitty arears have started putting dolls behind glass, and key, and you have to ring a red button to have someone come to the toy section and give you the doll. Once they take it out they force you to buy right there or they will hold the doll for you until you are done shopping.
