This is interesting. I always have a softspot for McFarlane even though they've been left behind for years. For the longest time I thought they were known for their good articulation since the only figure I had of theres for years was Samurai Spawn, which still holds up amazingly and is probably one of my favorite figures ever. I really hope these figures are as nicely articulated as it is, at least. Even then, I've always been fond of their sculpting, even if it can be a little mushy or overdone.
The anime thing is interesting. Seems like a hard sell to anime fans considering how plentiful figures are of Naruto and AoT, and now Tokyo Ghoul has an SAS line. There's two really good things that could come from this, though; they may do larger scale figures of characters/monsters from the series, given that they plan on doing large scale figures(a few Titans would be very cool.) and also, they may go back to older, but well remembered titles like Akira or the GiTS movie. And at any rate, they'll be cheap for my more casual collector friends who get sticker shock over figuarts.
