A plastic piece seems to be used as a counterweight for the gun barrel, and seems to attempt to detail the part of the main gun within the turret.
The hatches for the radio operator and the driver can open up too, but under the hatches they're a little obstructed by indents for the treads, but you can probably still fit a figure in by bending or removing it's legs around a little.
