If they release a doll that looks human or god help them if it's supposed to represent a teenage girl in lingerie they will get sued by Karen within 30 seconds. If they put sexy lingerie onto a stylized non-teen/ non-human looking Na Na Na doll or a sexy Madonna inspired bra onto a stylized cartoonish looking doll like Bratz or OMG LOL dolls it goes under the radar of Karen/soccer moms, and if Karen does sue them like they did in the mid 2000s when they put thongs on their toddler Bratz dolls its easier for their lawyers to defend in a court of law because it's doesn't look like a human teenage girl.
It's a winning formula that allows them to dress their dolls provocatively. Mattel stole the idea and created Monster High. It's ok if Monster High dolls have anorexic bodies and dress like hos because they aren't representing human teen girls they are just "Monsters".
