>>7275501>but saying it's the work of a mediocre engineer is just dumb.Is it, though? Engineering isn't about just complexity. It's also about keeping the complexity only as complicated as it needs to be. There are ways to squeeze a model-accurate leg out of the truck mode, but instead we got a model-accurate leg that cleaves through panel lines, and turns inside-out to make a misaligned collection of abstract shapes that are supposed to be the rear of the truck. The obvious answer was to put the wheels on the back of those two panels in the inside of each leg.
>fold the panels out, rotate them, then fold them back down with the wheels exposed>pull down on the wheels until they click into place to touch the ground>collapse back panel of the calf sorta like MP-36's calves but in reverse and swing out the real tank>collapse the fake tank in>rotate the lower legs at the knees so the wheels are facing outward and the vents are facing up>collapse thighs and fold up the feet>pull a trailer hitch out of Prime's ass and extend it between the shins>plug it all togetherSounds simple enough, right? Then why didn't they think of that?
