Marvel Legends, both under Toy Biz and Hasbro, went with the convention that 6 inches represents approximately 6 feet and scaled all the figures around that size, with some being taller or shorter. Marvel Legends and especially GI Joe Classified are a bit bigger than true 1/12 but are roughly the same scale.
With McFarlane (and toy biz) you get dumb shit like this were a Sister of Battle is almost the same height as a space marine even though the space marine should be towering over her.
