Looks like more confirmation that it's gonna be an environmentalist, possibly global warning themed parable. Apparently many fans failed to get that from all the other melting ice themed pics because they can't think outside the bounds of G1.
Miramax designs, I don't hate them like most seem to. They're not my "ideal" designs, but I accept them as one possible interpretation of the Bionicle world. Most of the changes/additions made sense from a production standpoint, given the characters had to be expressive enough to convey emotions or perform actions quickly and in a way a layperson can understand, since the movies weren't made just for the fans.
Weird stuff like the flying Rahaga also made sense because it made their scenes flow faster and saved up on budget. Some of the changes were at the very least interesting or creative. But some were just baffling, nonsensical and they often strayed too far from the toys. Like I said, I view them as adaptations or interpretations of the characters, the same way I consider the movies themselves to be one possible version of the story that stand on their own and don't fully align with the books or comics.
I enjoy the overall visual style and environment designs of the movies more than the character designs.
